Project Leader(s) Asuncion K. Raymundo, Associate Professor,IBS-UPLB
Experimental Facility/Site (BIOTECH and IBS- UPLB) Philippines
Purpose / Objectives 1. To analyze genetic variation in Pseudomonas solanacearum
2. To evaluate the population structure of Philippine Bugtok strains in comparison to other strains/ Races/ biovars of the organisms.
Biosafety measures 1. Laboratory personnel will be oriented on proper procedure in sterilization and Decontamination and in the containment of organisms to be used.
2. DNA manipulation experiments will be done at BIOTECH and at IBS Research Laboratory equipped with isolation chambers and incubators for culture, transfer, and storage.
