Purpose / Objectives 1. To transform rice with snowdrop (GNA) lectin gene via microprojectile bombardment of immature embryo and embryonic calli.
2. To evaluate the resistance of transgenic rice expressing the GNA gene against rice brown planthopper, green leafhopper and stem borers.
